Genetic Tokens
On this page, you will learn everything about genetic Tokens. The genetic token is the ecosystem Gateway for CryptoPhages. With it, you will be able to mint exclusive NFTs and many more!
What is the Genetic Token?
The Genetic Token (short: GT) is a fungible token on the cardano blockchain. It functions as currency for everything CryptoPhages related.
How to earn Genetic Tokens?
You earn genetic tokens by holding CryptoPhages. Every day a snapshot with timestamps is being made of all CryptoPhages. If the address for one CryptoPhage does not change for two weeks, it is ready to produce Genetic Material – This means you need to hold your Phages at least two weeks in order to claim the tokens. depending on the rarity, genome and family your Phage will produce more or less Genetic tokens.
How are the scores calculated?
You earn genetic tokens by holding CryptoPhages. Every day a snapshot with timestamps is being made of all CryptoPhages. If the address for one CryptoPhage does not change for two weeks, it is ready to produce Genetic Material – This means you need to hold your Phages at least two weeks in order to claim the tokens. depending on the rarity, genome and family your Phage will produce more or less Genetic tokens. How to Claim?
STEP 1:
You need to use Discord, since the claim system is bounded with our custom bot. Here is the invite link: join
STEP 2:
Log into your wallet that contain the CryptoPhages. Do not try this with any exchange. Copy one of the addresses. Then, with the command:
!claim <your_ada_address>
you can see how many CryptoPhages are ready to produce genetic material and how many are not. In order that the Phages are ready, they have to be at least 2 weeks on the same wallet. After that, they will appear as “ready”.
The claim command says how many tokens you will be able to claim, and if you can claim more than 0 tokens, you are ready to make the transaction.
STEP 3:
Now that we know you can claim X tokens, make a transaction of at least 3 ADA to the following address:

You can send more than 3 ADA if you feel generous, the overpaid ADA will be taken as a tip. DO NOT send less than 3 ADA, because this will be ignored by the system.
STEP 4
After sending the transaction, you will receive the tokens immediately (if there are not too many people that claim). Since the system is new, it can happen that it crashes, so if you don’t get tokens, don’t worry, I will fix it! After claiming, you can again try to do !claim again. You will see that you cant claim any tokens anymore (0). if you now send 3 ADA, you will get nothing back so don’t do it!
STEP 5
Enjoy and collect. Soon you will be able to spend the tokens on a exclusive NFT. There will be exclusive series for holders, so stay tuned!
FAQ
Q: Will claiming tokens reset the counter for not ready phages on the same address?
A: No. Only the Phages that get claimed will be reset to zero. So you have to wait 2 weeks again.
Q: How can i see how much tokens one specific Phage Produces?
A: with the command !phage <id> in the Discord.
